About Us
The Support Our Youth Organization is a 501c(3), non-profit organization founded by Ms. Yolanda Ramirez that strives to educate, enlighten and empower children with activities and programs designed to encourage, motivate, inspire and improve the quality of their lives.
Our Work
The Support Our Youth Organization operates various youth programs:
FITNESS & FUN - "JUMP2-IT" - an awesome fitness program especially for children that teaches the health benefits (and fun) of jumping rope.
CHARMING DIVAS - a modern day charm school for girls that teaches etiquette.
LITTLE MISS SUPERSTAR - A non-competitive beauty pageant for girls that lets them experience the thrill and excitement of a beauty pageant without all the drama & negativity associated with highly competitive pageants.
SUPERSTAR KIDZ
Performance Arts Talent Workshop & Showcase helps children interested in performance arts (dance, modeling, acting & singing develop their talents.
EVENTS
The Support Our Youth Organization has sponsored many community events. Some of our core events include:
"DanceFest" - a festival of dance providing an opportunity for dancers of every genre to showcase their dance skills.
Dancing for the Cause - our annual breast cancer support event. All donations are donated to the American Cancer Society.
National Dance Day - we celebrate this day in honor of the art of dance by inviting everyone in the community to come out and dance with us.
Unity in the Community - we invite our neighboring businesses to unite with us and introduce themselves and their services to the community.
Toys 4 Tots Holiday Program - at our years end dance performance we ask the audience to bring toys which we donate to homeless children
